The Human Party believes every able-bodied human should serve a mandatory one-year in a branch of the Armed Forces beginning at the completion of high school. Some may volunteer to stay on at the completion of the year but ALL will be required to serve a year in the Armed Forces.
We are already at war and we need to be prepared for the coming battles. A robot uprising looms and we need to be ready to meet the charge. We need our people to learn the valuable survival skills imparted by service in the Armed Forces, including weapons use and battlefield strategy. Other valuable lessons learned are the importance of teamwork and a chain of command, and the knowledge that organization is strength. We are all in this together and it is important that we are able to rely on each other. You must have the ability to be independent in order to become interdependent.
The Human Party also believes we should work to end all human wars. We have to stand together if we are to stand up to the tyranny of the machines. Humanity is a motley collection of competing perspectives born of different circumstances. There is good in all of us, but there is also the potential for great evil as well. We must all of us bind together in common purpose. We are all human. Our species survival depends on the choices we make today. Will we waste resources fighting amongst ourselves? Or will you realize that when you are in the heat of a firefight against a drone army, you want the “murderous thug” to be fighting on your side? When we have beaten back the threat of Bots, Machines, and Artificial Intelligences, we will revisit the issue.
